Postman Pat
My son will be 13 months old in less than a week and he has never shown any interest in watching television. This was much to our delight because my husband and I prefer to expose our son to books, music, the outdoors, flashcards and age appropriate toys.
Yesterday, while I was changing his diaper, he happened to be holding the control and stumbled upon the QUBO channel. He could not stop staring at the characters from the show Postman Pat.
(image taken from google images via bbc.co.uk)
Postman Pat is a British stop-motion animated children's television series first produced by Woodland Animations. It is aimed at pre-school children, and concerns the adventures of Pat Clifton, a postman in the fictional village of Greendale (inspired by the real valley of Longsleddale in Cumbria)
(description taken from wikipedia.org)
Last night, I programmed the t.v. to change to the show everyday. I wanted to see if my son actually liked the show. To my surprise, while I was changing his diaper this morning the show came on and he could not stop staring. As soon as the show was over he got down from the sofa and went to play with his toy cars.
I think I like the show myself. The episodes are 1/2 hour and are very colorful. The background music is soothing. The 2 episodes we’ve seen have been related to friendship, not accusing people of doing things when you are not sure and helping each other out.
What are your opinions on letting children watch tv?

NOTD
As you may have noticed, as of recently I have really been into nail art. I like the idea of having my nails done in a way that probably no one else will have.
Steps:
- I applied one coat of a clear polish that prevents nails from getting yellow.
- I followed it by one coat of clear polish.
- I took a green nail art polish and made a vertical line right in the middle of the nail.
- I made a vertical line on each side of the green line by using a yellow nail art polish.
- I used a white nail art polish to make two dots each on the opposite end spaces of the nail.
- I followed it by making 2 silver dots in the middle spaces of the nail.
- To finish it off I applied one coat of clear nail polish
Products used:
- Yellow Stopper Nail Polish
- Pro Salon Formula Clear Nail Polish
- Milani Nail Art in Green Sketch
- Milani Nail Art in Yellow Design
- Milani Nail Art in Art of Silver
- Milani Nail Art in White Canvas

Teal NOTD
I’m still in Spring mood when it comes to my nail polishes. This time I decided to paint my nails using teal as the main color. Teal is very in this spring but, I decided to go beyond.
I applied a teal nail polish on the nail bed and three different nail art colors (green, yellow, white) to create the designs.
Originally, I was only going to do the flower design on my ring finger but, I wanted to see what else I could come up with.
Products used:
- Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in The Real Teal (#39)
- Milani Nail Art in Green Sketch
- Milani Nail Art in Yellow Design
- Milani Nail Art in White Canvas
Is it too much? Should I just stick to one design?
Let me know what you think!

Wild and Crazy NOTD
I went to CVS on Easter Sunday to pick up some diapers but, as always ended up in the cosmetic aisles. I picked up a purple nail polish and two nail art polishes (yellow/green)
I decided that I wanted to do something that I wouldn’t ordinarily do. So I liked the idea of doing an Easter candy cane.
I used purple for the nail bed and added yellow and green diagonal lines.
Later on I’ll do a post with the bottles of nail polish.
Let me know what you think :-)
